Wraptor from Brady prints and applicates cable marking in less than five seconds
With the Wraptor, Brady presents a solution for the automatic application of cable marking. Especially time- and cost-savings can be realized and at the same time productivity and quality can raise.
In less than five seconds the printers masters printing and applying of cable marking or bundling and labellig of single conductors in the same time - a task that normally takes 20 to 50 seconds per marking respectively bundling.
This effectiveness is possible due to the application of newest chip-technology from Brady. Already when the label material is inserted the Wraptor recognizes all data which it needs, like width, height (length) or margin of the labels. Additionally the laboriously and sometimes expensive calibration of labels is cancelled, which is standard by using standard thermotransfer printer.
The installed ribbon saving function reduces the consumptioon up to 70%, especiall when self-laminating cable-marker (short title block and long transparent part) is used.
The wraptor is featured by an easy handling and the fact, that all single conductors and bundle diameters between 1,52 mm and 15,24 mm can be labelled or bundles without tool change. The change of material and changeover times are very short. Additionally the semi-automatic unit can be changed into full-automatic operation and can be integrated into a production line. A cost-effective In-Line-Solution results, when the Wraptor is connected with the Cutting-to-length- machine (e.g. Schleuniger), wire stripper or measuring tester.
High-Quality, resistant, standardised (e.G. UL/CSA) Brady materials are processed, which stay where they should stay after the mounting: permanent adhesive on cable.
That is also valid for cable sheathings, which could not be labelled so far, e.g. cable insulation with Teflon coating. The standard range of wraptor labels covers all applications with its several lengths and widths. Special designs are available. There are also no limits by the printing of labels. Texts, logos or barcodes receive a high-resolution and durable typeface due to the thermotransfer-printhead with 300 dpi resolution.
The Wraptor ensures a high data security in operation as "stand-alone" machine, because therefore no connection with a PC, laptop or online-connection is necessary. The label data are loaded on the machine before. That can be made via USB, RS232, PCMCIA-card or network connection, which is included in the scope of supply of the wraptor. The user of the machine can only call the data, but cannot change it subsequently.
The creation of label data is also made very easy and time saving. With the included Labelmark3-Software e.g. an automatic data transfer from a cable diagram, database or CAB-System is possible. That saves a manually input, that also saves a plenty of time and takes account to a high data-safety.
