The necessity of traceability in production and logistics makes automatic identification indispensable. If a barcode is illegible, processes in logistics might be disrupted or the customer even returns a product.

In order to prevent such a scenario from occuring an automotive component supplier contacted DYNAMIC Systems. After having defined gials and after the completion of development and integration into the existing processes it was possible to implement the identification system BarcodeCare successfully.

The software developed exclusively by DYNAMIC Systems verifies the legibility of a barcode during the procedure of printing by means of a scanner - irrespective of whether it is a 1D or 2D code. The scanner is placed on top of the printer and in case it cannot read the code within a given time frame the printer stops immediately. The defective label can be removed at once. Afterwards, the user has to enter a password in order to unlock the printer and to continue with the printing process.

What is particularly important for existing systems is the fact that BarcodeCare can be used almost independently from manufacturer, brand, or model of the printer which makes the product universally applicable.

The use of BarcodeCare ensures that only labels with legible barcodes are put into circulation.
