Wax-Ribbon
Advantages:
- Harsh surfaces
- Low printing heat
- High printing speed
- Mainly for paper-labelds
- Barcode print
- cheap
Disadvantages:
- Low chemical durability
- Low scraping durability
- Not suitable for 90° turned barcodes
Wax-resin-ribbon
Advantages:
- Matt surfaces
- Good print-quality for 90° turned barcodes
- Higher temperature durability as wax
Disadvantages:
- Average printspeed
- Average up to good chemical durability
- Average scraping durability
Resin-ribbon
Advantages:
- Glossy surfaces
- Good chemical durability
- Good scraping durability
- Good barcode quality
- Good print
Disadvantages:
- High printing heat
- Cost-intensive
