The cordless DS6878-HC healthcare scanner from Zebra is specially suited for demanding and sensitive applications in the health care and pharmaceutical industries as well as laboratories. The combination of the new scan engine (SE4500) and powerful microprocessor guarantees high-quality scanning of 1D and 2D codes, signatures, as well as documents. It reads information omnidirectionally from any angle, including barcodes that are damaged or of low quality. The information is then securely and easily transmitted via Bluetooth (V2.1 Class I). In order not to disturb patients the good scan confirmation may be switched from acoustic to vibration.

The DS6878-HC has a special surface that can even be cleaned with aggressive agents, providing perfect protection for patients and users. If used at mobile workstations, a USB interface directly charges the scanner in the cradle – without a power supply. Place the scanner either vertically or horizontally. Due to the robust IP43-certified housing even repeated drops do not damage the scanner. The intuitive and ergonomic operation impresses personnel and greatly boosts productivity.
